* Developing the hospital's strategic research plan in line with the research policies of the faculty and university.

* Striving to institutionalize research in the hospital.

* Endeavoring to apply research activities to education and treatment.

* Overseeing the proper conduct of research activities in various departments.

* Striving to create the infrastructure for electronic registration of patient information.

* Conducting research workshops to empower faculty members and trainees.

* Serving as the secretary of the hospital's research ethics committee.

The Office of Clinical Research Development at Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex began its operations in 2016.

The organizational mission of the Office of Clinical Research Development is to improve the quantity and quality of biomedical research at the complex level in order to address diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive needs of diseases, as well as the managerial needs of the complex.

It should be noted that based on the amendment of the organizational chart of the Deputy of Academic Affairs, since September 2020, the Office of Clinical Research Development has been under the supervision of the Research and Technology Management.
